Advanced Course on the “Dance of the Song of the Vajra” with Prima Mai!

Membership of the Dzogchen Community is a course requirement.

The course is open to anyone who wants to deepen and refresh their practice of this dance! In addition to the integration of the body in the movement and the mind in contemplation, this also includes the integration of voice and energy in the singing – Prima Mai will also focus on this aspect during the retreat.

The Dance of the Song of the Vajra is a complex, symbolic dance with parts of the energetic aspect connected to our existence. All the syllables of the Vajra song are linked by their sound to specific energy points within our inner mandala – our body, and the outer mandala – the external dimension of our world.
Through their sound, colour and location on the mandala and through the movements we can coordinate these points and thus achieve a harmonising communication on the subtle energy level.

Prima Mai met Chögyal Namkhai Norbu for the first time in 1989. In 1990 she moved to Italy, where she learned the Vajra dance directly from him. For several years she accompanied Rinpoche on his travels, as his assistant in his classes and seminars to make the Vajra Dance more and more popular.

Today Prima Mai is one of the two leading international Vajra dance teachers appointed by Rinpoche to train new Vajra dance instructors. Since 1992 she has given courses worldwide and created accompanying media material with the goal of the comprehensive development of Vajra dance.

The course will take place from 4 – 8 April 2018 in the Waldorf School, Cologne.

In the vicinity of the school there are shops to buy food as well as fast food outlets. The school is affiliated with a nearby indoor climbing facility where you can also buy drinks and snacks.
The hall is open from 10 am to 10 pm and has underfloor heating. Travel time from the city centre is about 20 minutes by public transport or by car.
To stay overnight in the hall where the course takes place costs 10 euro per person per night.
